My background sits at the intersection of scientific computing, quantitative research, and medicine. I earned an MD and PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after several years of computational toxicology research with the U.S. EPA National Center for Computational Toxicology.
Much of my technical work has focused on building software and analytical systems that make complex scientific data easier to use reproducibly.
